Hentley Farm Shiraz, Barossa Valley 2016

This ticks all the boxes around drinkability, age and value, tick, tick and tick….. 
It is made from estate-grown fruit from their A-grade Seppeltsfield vineyard in Greenock Creek, on the western edge of the Barossa Valley. This is holding its eight years of age superbly. Dark and exotic aromas of plum, mulberry, mocha, sweet spice and cedary oak. The palate is all plush, lush and sumptuous, with lashings of dark fruit, liquorice and oak, along with firm, shapely tannins, a lick of polished leather (RM Williams, of course…) and bright, snappy acidity. It's a wine that is drinking really well now but will hold for another 5-8 easily. 
94 points from me, and as Molly would opine, ‘do yourself a favour…’ 
There are only 20 dozen (packed in six packs) available and, with a saving of around 25% on the current release 2022, and we’ve done the cellaring for you.
